Still Dealing With Foot Pain After Months of Rest?

Most clinics treat the symptom and send you home with a generic exercise sheet. If your foot pain keeps coming back, the real problem likely hasn't been found — or fixed — yet.

You've Tried Everything — It Still Hurts

Rest, ice, orthotics, maybe even another round of PT — but plantar fasciitis, Achilles pain, or ankle issues keep flaring up. Without addressing the root cause in your movement patterns, the cycle repeats.

 Shared Appointments, Generic Plans

At most clinics, you're one of several patients your therapist is juggling at once. You get a handout, a hot pack, and ten minutes of actual attention. That's not rehabilitation — it's a holding pattern.

Cleared to Return, But Not Ready to Perform

Being pain-free isn't the same as being strong enough to compete. If your recovery stops at 'good enough,' you're at higher risk of re-injury the moment you push your body again.

What our Clients Say

"I have been having on/off Achilles issues for years and finally decided to do something about it. It turns out I had several weaknesses to address and the progress in 12 weeks has been huge!"

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about starting foot pain physical therapy at Fuel Sports PT in Northbrook.

Do you accept insurance?

We are an out-of-network provider, which means we are not contracted with insurance companies. This allows us to provide unrestricted, one-on-one care with a Doctor of PT every session — no limits on visit length or treatment approach. We accept HSA/FSA payments and provide documentation you may submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

How is Fuel Sports PT different from a traditional PT clinic?

Every session at Fuel is a full hour exclusively with your Doctor of Physical Therapy — no aides, no double-booking, no 15-minute handoffs. We treat the root cause of your pain using a combination of hands-on manual therapy, advanced modalities like dry needling and shockwave therapy, and progressive strength work to return you to your sport or activity stronger than before.

What foot and ankle conditions do you treat?

We specialize in plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinopathy, ankle sprains, shin splints, and other lower extremity conditions. We also offer running gait analysis to identify biomechanical contributors to recurring foot and ankle issues.

How long will my treatment take?

Every recovery timeline is different. Most patients with foot pain see meaningful progress within 4–12 weeks depending on the condition, severity, and their goals. We'll give you a realistic picture at your initial evaluation and adjust your plan as you progress.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes — we offer a complimentary phone consultation so you can speak directly with one of our Doctors of PT, ask questions, and determine whether Fuel Sports PT is the right fit before committing to an appointment.
